The website will help get more people to know about our organization, which in turn will hopefully allow us to get more donations and volunteers. We are a non-profit organization that wants to give homeless people something fun to do in their day. We believe that it is not good to live on the streets and it can have many negative consequences on kids. As we stumbled upon a broadcast on TV, we had found out that a many kids now lie in motels. It is believed that about one in five kids live at the poverty level in the US. These are a lot of kids based on the huge population of our country. They can be drawn into ways of surviving that aren’t the best ways of doing things. Some of these ways can be gangs, violence, or drugs. We feel that if these kids are away from those things and are in a better environment they will be less likely to do these things. We also believe that if they see some of the things they can get by being successful the kids will try harder to get them. The games that we will provide for them are both fun and challenging. These games would consist of board games and electronics. One example would be Monopoly, to teach kids about spending money wisely. However, playing games all day can be a little boring and tiring. As a result, we also provide dance games such as DDR (Dance Dance Revolution) for the Nintendo Wii. It will keep kids active and also entertain them at the same time. These will provide positive relationships because of our fun games and our nice staff. Also, we will promote good behavior and help feed the kids too. By doing these things we can hope to help kids further themselves in life.
Goal: Our goal is to help the unfortunate that have lost either their jobs or their homes. We want to change the fact that there are homeless people on the lonely streets. As a result, we decided to provide entertainment for the homeless. We want the homeless to take their minds off of the bad and turn their eyes into fun things. We understand If our non- profit organization works, it would not only making a better world for all of us but also show the homeless that we care for them.
Target Audience: Our audience includes homeless families and people struggling to survive. The destination of our organization is mostly to help the homeless and poor on the streets of New York City. Our target audience includes:
-Kids going through deep stress
-Runaway Children
We also are reaching out to people to help us successfully reach our goal and organization. This includes:
-Newspapers -Schools that are willing to join and help
-Volunteers
-Free advertisements
Future Projects: My organization would like to increase our popularity and hopefully grow. As we become more popular and have more funding we can provide better food and others things. Eventually it would be our dream to branch out and provide minor education to kids. That way they can learn and have fun at the same time. If this succeeds, we will form another organization to educate kids. We will soon also set up a system that rewards kids for good grades, encouraging kids to do well to get more opportunities.
Background History Our organization, is a non-profit organization that is always willing to help kids in need. We consist of Americans and Asians that want to make a difference. If the kids start to pile in our organization, our background history will change. So far, we have helped only several kids in our town that have been through very stressful times. However, once we expand our organization, our new job is to finally make a difference to the whole world.
Success Stories Games 4 Kids has taken in several kids. We believe that it has a positive impact on these kids as they showed an increase in grade levels and attitude. A few of these kids even turned their life around and graduated from college. Others convinced their parents to try hard in life and they got jobs. Now they are recovering. These things still don’t happen often, but with support, they can happen more frequently.
